Training Description: This 2-hour training for clinical supervisors reviews the impact of working with clients with beliefs and experiences different than ours and the impact that can have on both the client’s experience and the practitioner’s experience. The training content will assist supervisors in helping their supervisees identify areas of countertransference of both the “halo” and the “horn” type as well as the countertransference that the stage of change can evoke the client in for the therapeutic goals of the behavioral health focus. Supervisory actions and fostering self-awareness and skill development in staff will be a primary focus.
