School Avoidance: Assessment, Prevention and Intervention
Training Description:
This 1.5 hour training discusses school avoidance as a significant risk to youth social, emotional, and academic development and a notable distress and strain on schools and family systems. Effective prevention and treatment of school avoidance requires close partnership between schools, families, mental health practitioners, and medical teams. This training will equip community behavioral health professionals and supports with skills to recognize, assess, treat, and prevent school avoidance.
